If I donate, how will my money be used?
Currituck Kids provides monetary grants for discretionary spending to the Currituck County School System and other similar avenues, to benefit children who would not otherwise receive assistance. These grants are intended to help children with a general short-term or one-time need, depending on the situation. Each situation is unique and carefully analyzed to determine the level of assistance that CKi may provide. Sometimes kids just need a “boost,” and we are here to help!
How do you identify a child in need?
We rely on trusted sources within our community to help us identify individual needs. We have a network of employees within our schools, social workers, and other equally qualified individuals in the area that contact us when they identify a child with a qualifying need.
How do you fund your purchases?
We rely on donations by people like you as well as organized fundraising events. We are so blessed to have witnessed this organization grow by leaps and bounds over what we expected to able to do! That being said, there are still so many children in our area that need our help! Every dollar that is donated counts and can make a difference in a local child’s life. How can I get involved?
Getting involved is easy and we’re always looking for volunteers to help us out with our events! If you have event/drop off point space where we can host a fundraiser or collect supplies, let us know! Volunteering space is just as appreciated as volunteering your time!
